1. A smart filter allows you to apply filters to a layer. It lets you control what parts of the layer you apply a filter to. Smart filters let you stack images and rearrange their order to produce different results. so its smarter to use a smart filter because you can choose the area in which you want to apply a filter too and a normal filter affects the entire photo.  

In this assignment we chose a moving object and added the smart filter of blur. we then unblurred the airplane and kept the background blurred to make it seem as if the airplane was moving.



2.Quick mask mode allows you to visualize how a mask will be applied and gives you various tools more easily refine the edges of complex selections for greater accuracy.  Its better to use a quick mask because its more accurate rather then with the wand and the lasso you select the areas yourself.

In this assignment we used a quick mask on the eyes of a face to be able to change the color. I changed this celebrities eyes from brown to blue by selecting the area of the eyes myself and changing the color.

3. We added the Blur effect and we also changed the skin color to screen to add a glow effect to the face.
